On June 19-20, 2010, the Reclaiming Progressive Social Work: Social Welfare Conference 2010 took place in Hong Kong. The articles here were part of the contribution to the debate.

Social workers have been under attack for upholding these core values, and in extreme cases have been sacked. These articles here give us a glimpse of the threatening changes taking place, and the grassroots responses to this challenge.
