Submission of Labour Rights Shadow Report to UNHRC

In April 2013,  Chinese Working Women Network (CWWN), Labour Education and Service Network (LESN), Labour Action China (LAC), and Globalization Monitor have submitted a joint report on China's labor rights situation to the United Nations Human Rights Council together. This report involves hukou system of migrant workers, workers rights on occupational diseases, suppressions on labor NGOs and student workers and other issues.

It is the 17th session of the UN Human Rights Council between  October 21 to November 1st this year. Through the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism,  the human rights situation of each country will be assessed. This is second round China will be reviewed. The reports of NGOs and the views of other countries will be considered as references for China's human rights situation. Therefore this is a multi-faceted review.
